With a seating capacity of 2,466 spread over three levels, the concert hall is the venue of choice of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Local and international artists of multiple genres from classical, swing, jazz, to modern rock have graced the auditorium. The redevelopment of the hall cost $125.8 million and spanned two years, with both the performance spaces and interiors benefiting from an upgrade in terms of modern technology and design.
