Philip Island was once the residence of now globally renowned actors: Chris Hemsworth for his portrayal of Thor in Marvel flicks and Liam Hemsworth for his performance as Gale Hawthorne in the Hunger Games series. Philip island attracts locals to do a spot of fishing, surf in Victoria’s first national surfing reserve, or just chill out. The Nobbies Visitor Centre have exhibitions on display and serves meals against a backdrop of sweeping coastline views. Visitors can opt to explore their surroundings by traversing the boardwalk. One of the ‘islands’ facing the Centre is actually a blowhole, and a large number of silver gulls nest in the area.
