Werribee Open Range Zoo is a 225 hectare zoo with an African vibe. There are a myriad of animals such as the cheetah, gorillas, and hippos that roll around at Hippo Beach that can be viewed while on the Pula Reserve Trail. There’s a forty minute safari tour to see antelopes, Mongolian horses, and giraffes graze in the grassy plains. For an additional fee, visitors can participate in ‘wild encounters’ with the gorillas and an African cat, enjoy an off road safari, or indulge in some giraffe feeding.
