This is related to the post, Federation Square. The Little Veggie Patch Co. has transformed an unused Fed Square car park into Pop Up Patch. It is a unique community gardening space made up of more than 140 veggie crates with a special no-dig recipe that are for rent. Subscribers ranging from businesses, restaurants, and residents use it to grow their own organic food. Open six days a week excluding Mondays, there’s a shop, cafe, and a centre for holding food, gardening, and kids workshops on the site.

Lovely to hear from you again. Thanks for the compliment: the photos of the ‘urban oasis’ was taken under a blistering summer sun which made the colours vivid.

I like that – a special no dig recipe 🙂 – I spend half my time repotting plants so would be curious to know what the no dig approach is, it’s hard to imagine 🙂
